Mud, sweat and deer ...

I went out again this weekend - this time on my own which was actually a bit strange. I have enjoyed having quite a bit of company when out walking. This time I walked from home to just outside Epsom, back through Ashtead - Leatherhead and then back home. The original plan was to walk into Epsom do a couple of things then walk home. Just as I got through the far side of Ashtead I realised I couldn't do what I needed to do in Epsom ... bother. So I changed my route and came home. I must admit it wasn't the most entertaining of walks but I found new paths I didn't know existed. I also crossed the M25 twice ... using a bridge of course but I must admit I did not feel safe at all. It was quite narrow, and with cars rushing underneath it was really quite unnerving. Highlights were seeing a whole group of deer, surviving another round of Charlie vs. the mud and meeting an angry swan.
Walk total: 11.5 miles
Total distance: 63.3 miles
